The
Vision
Make the Boss 302 easier to enjoy without losing its classic identity. The vision combined Apple CarPlay, easier-to-reach HVAC controls, and dedicated phone storage with a front soundstage designed for center imaging and a subwoofer to fill out the low frequencies. Concealed rear speakers and coordinated interior details would bring everything together without overwhelming the Mustang’s original design.

Process
Masterpiece Automobile 3D-scanned the Mustang’s dash, A-pillars, and interior components, then CAD-modeled a new dash insert to position the HVAC controls higher and add a phone cubby with a charging port. Custom tweeter pods, center-speaker mounts, and 3D-printed kick-panel faces and grilles with Boss branding integrated the BLAM front stage: 165 mm midbass drivers, 100 mm midrange drivers, and 20 mm tweeters. A redesigned rear package tray concealed the rear speakers and added a custom inlay with a Boss 302 logo. A Trulli TD10S 10-inch subwoofer in a sealed enclosure and HELIX amplification and digital signal processing by Audiotec Fischer completed the audio system.
